3D Product Configurator

This award-winning B2B 3D configurator with AR functionality was designed for configuring complex industrial components. The project received the Best of Swiss Web Award - Gold in Productivity and was the first configurator of its kind in Switzerland using server-side rendered product images.

Since most of EAO's products consist of multiple interchangeable components, they can be configured in a wide variety of ways. The product range exhibits such high variance that it has not been possible to represent it comprehensively until now – which automatically brought uncertainties, whether on the customer side or on the sales side. EAO therefore sought a way to present products digitally in a targeted manner, make the high quality (in design and workmanship) tangible, and support customers in the configuration process.

The configurator allows users to customize industrial components in real-time 3D, with instant visual feedback and AR preview capabilities. The innovative server-side rendering approach ensures consistent, high-quality product visualization across all devices.

Sometimes it's difficult to determine a product's usability based solely on appearance and technical specifications. Additional views enhance the user experience by placing E-Stops in meaningful contexts for target audiences: positioned on a measuring grid (to assess assembled size), mounted on a plate, or illuminated in darkness.
